How to Add Refrigerant to Industrial Chiller?

In order for industrial chillers to operate normally and safely, they must be inseparable from refrigerants. To keep industrial chillers running at high efficiency, a quality maintenance plan must be provided. Especially when injecting refrigerant and installing various structures, complete all maintenance and maintenance in a professional way, and the overall effect is better.cryogenic cooling chiller

The reference for the refrigerant charge of industrial chillers. In general, the refrigerant of the chiller must be charged less or more. Then, what are the common performance requirements of the chillers with different refrigeration cycles for the refrigerant?

How to judge whether the chiller needs to add refrigerant?

1. Observation method: Generally, the high-pressure pipe condenses and is relatively cold. If the low-pressure pipe also condenses and feels cool, the temperature is about 3°C higher than the high-pressure pipe, indicating that the refrigerant is suitable. If the low-pressure pipe does not condense and has a sense of temperature, it means that the amount of refrigerant is insufficient and needs to be added. If the low-pressure pipe condenses, or the low-pressure pipe frosts for about 1 minute each time the compressor is started, and then turns into dew again, it means that there is too much refrigerant and some needs to be released.

2. Gauge pressure method: The pressure on the low-pressure side of the refrigeration system is related to the amount of refrigerant.

3. Current method: use a clamp ammeter to monitor the working current of the outdoor unit (including the compressor and fan current). If the current value is basically in line with the rated current on the nameplate, it means that the refrigerant is suitable; if it is too much lower than the rated value, the refrigerant If the dose is too low, it needs to be added.

How to choose the right refrigerant for the chiller?

1. Have a lower solidification temperature. This prevents the refrigerant from freezing at the evaporating temperature.

2. Refrigerant liquid has a smaller specific heat capacity. This reduces throttling process losses.

3. High thermal conductivity. In order to improve the heat transfer coefficient of the heat exchanger, reduce the heat transfer area and the consumption of metal materials.

4. The adiabatic index should be small, which can reduce the energy consumption of the chiller during the compression process, and the gas temperature will not be too high at the end of the compression.
