Air cooled liquid chillers are refrigeration equipment that use compressor refrigeration to transfer heat from the cooling medium (usually water or air) to achieve cooling. Air-cooled chillers are mainly composed of compressors, condensers, expansion valves and evaporators. It uses the principle of compressor refrigeration to adjust the heat or refrigerant flow entering the condenser by changing the exhaust volume of the compressor, thereby controlling the temperature and flow of cooling water.
How do air cooled liquid chillers work?
1. Evaporation process: The refrigerant absorbs heat from the cooling medium in the evaporator, thereby reducing the temperature of the cooling medium. This process is mainly achieved through the vaporization of the refrigerant.
2. Compression process: The vaporized refrigerant is compressed by the compressor, causing its pressure and temperature to increase. This process releases a large amount of heat, most of which is transferred to the cooling medium.
3. Condensation process: The compressed refrigerant enters the condenser, exchanges heat with the cooling medium, and releases heat into the cooling medium, thereby cooling and liquefying the refrigerant.
4. Expansion valve process: The liquid refrigerant enters the evaporator through the expansion valve, reduces the pressure, vaporizes again and starts a new refrigeration cycle.
Structural features of air cooled liquid chillers
1. Air cooling method: Compared with other cooling equipment, the biggest feature of air-cooled chillers is that they use air for cooling without requiring additional cooling water sources, thus saving water resources.
2. Compressor system: The air-cooled chiller uses an efficient compressor system, which can quickly provide the cooling effect of the coolant and has the advantage of low energy consumption.
3. Control system: The air-cooled chiller is equipped with an advanced control system that can accurately control temperature and pressure to maintain stable operation of the equipment.
