Temperature Control in Bioreactor System

 

The bioreactor temperature control system is generally used in the double-layer jacket outside the pressure vessel tank to provide a stable working temperature for the reactor. Some media will absorb heat and some will release heat during the reaction process, and the formation of general products requires a constant temperature, which requires an automatic refrigeration and heating system to control the temperature in the reactor.

The bioreactor temperature control system controls the temperature in the reactor by heating or cooling the jacket of the reactor to reach the temperature required by the product. When choosing a reactor temperature control system, choose whether to control oil temperature or material temperature. Some equipment is different between the two.

 

Temperature Control in Bioreactor System

 

Features of the bioreactor temperature control system:

1. Closed system: In a closed system, the expansion container with the heat-conducting medium does not participate in the circulation process. Regardless of high temperature or low temperature, the temperature of the expansion container is always maintained at room temperature 60°C, which extends the service life of the heat-conducting medium.

2. Rapid cooling: During high-temperature exothermic reactions, cooling water or compressor refrigeration is used to control the temperature and take away excess heat to ensure the stability of the reactor temperature.

3. Temperature control accuracy up to 1℃: The bioreactor temperature control system can achieve high-precision temperature control in the range of -120℃ – 350℃.

4. Dynamic temperature control technology: The temperature measurement point fluid dynamic control technology ensures a smaller error in the temperature accuracy of the inlet and outlet and the material. When the temperature error is large, the control system will immediately issue instructions to control the exothermic and endothermic reaction to achieve rapid response temperature control.

5. Circulation system: The use of plate heat exchangers and pipe heaters improves the power density ratio, reduces the use of heat transfer media, and improves the response speed of system temperature control.

6. Reliable protection: The reactor control system has a variety of reliable protection functions such as self-diagnosis function, refrigerator overload protection, high-pressure pressure switch, overload relay, thermal protection device, etc., which fully guarantees reliable use, automatic diagnosis and system monitoring function series. Through the PLC touch screen controller, the computer monitors and displays detailed system information.
