How to Change the Lubricating Oil of Industrial Chiller?

 

The industrial chiller is the main refrigeration equipment for cooling the instrument in the production of the enterprise. If the chiller runs for a long time, the internal wear of the machine will occur, so the lubricating oil should be replaced appropriately. How to change the lubricating oil is also a problem to be faced. The working nature of the chiller is relatively special, so there are corresponding requirements for the lubricating oil. 1. The lubricating oil we fill in the chiller must pass quality certification, and oils of different brands cannot be mixed. Different types of refrigerants should correspond to different lubricating oils, and special attention should be paid to the incompatibility of synthetic oils and mineral oils. Before filling the chiller with oil, ensure that the system is clean and free of any impurities.

2. Synthetic oil should be used in industrial chillers, and ensure that the oil is not exposed to the atmosphere for a long time. The system should be thoroughly evacuated when starting up for the first time.

3. In order to ensure the normal operation of the equipment, the system should be dehumidified. It is recommended to pass dry nitrogen into the system for drying, and then vacuumize the system.

Note: When vacuuming the system, the user should consider the problem that the water vapor will evaporate under low pressure, and at this time, some dry nitrogen should be charged into the system. It is very important to replace the system with new oil, especially after the motor burns out, the acid residue still remains inside the system, and the system status can be checked by changing the oil. Check the acidity of the lubricating oil, and replace the lubricating oil again after the system runs for 72 hours until the acidity of the lubricating oil reaches the standard value.

4. When filling the lubricating oil, the user should ensure that the total amount of lubricating oil in the system reaches the required filling amount. If the customer’s industrial chiller system has been filled with enough lubricating oil. However, in order to maintain the equipment, part of the lubricating oil needs to be released, so when the user refills the lubricating oil. Just add the amount of oil released.

Some suggestions for replacing lubricating oil in industrial chillers:

1. Oil change cycle: If the compressor of the industrial chiller has been running continuously for 10,000 hours, the lubricating oil should be checked once. If the compressor is running for the first time, it is recommended to replace the lubricating oil and clean the oil filter after 2000 hours of operation. Check that the system is clean, and if the chiller system is operating in good condition, change the lubricating oil every 20,000 hours or every 4 years.

2. Avoid solid residues and metal impurities passing through the oil filter, otherwise it will cause bearing damage. Therefore, it is recommended that the user install a differential pressure switch. When the differential pressure on both sides of the oil filter reaches the set value, the system will stop to prevent the bearing from being seriously damaged due to oil loss in this case.
