A chilled glycol cooling system is a cooling system that can operate at lower temperatures. This system uses ethylene glycol as a coolant to circulate in the system, thereby taking away heat from the object being cooled to achieve the purpose of cooling.
Structure of chilled glycol cooling system
The chilled glycol cooling system is mainly composed of a compressor, evaporator, condenser, expansion valve, water tank, etc. Among them, the compressor is responsible for compressing low-temperature ethylene glycol into a high-temperature and high-pressure state. The evaporator absorbs heat from the surrounding environment to evaporate the ethylene glycol, thereby lowering the temperature of the surrounding environment. The condenser changes the ethylene glycol from its gaseous state to its liquid state by removing heat. Through the expansion valve, the liquid ethylene glycol circulates throughout the system after cooling down in the water tank.
Working principle of chilled glycol cooling system
The working principle of chilled glycol cooling system is to use the physical properties of ethylene glycol to achieve cooling purposes. During the circulation process of ethylene glycol, by controlling parameters such as pressure, temperature, and flow in the system, ethylene glycol evaporates in a low-pressure and low-temperature environment, thereby removing heat from the surrounding environment and forming a cooling effect. After the heat is removed from the condenser, the ethylene glycol changes from gas to liquid, and passes through the expansion valve to form a low-temperature liquid ready for recycling.
