Precautions for the Use of Chiller Refrigerants
Refrigerants are often used in chiller refrigeration systems. Refrigerant is a necessary substance for the refrigeration cycle, and it is indispensable. It plays an extremely important role in the entire chiller. Due to the different physical and chemical properties of various refrigerants, the use and storage methods of refrigerants are also different. Let’s take a look at it together.
At different temperatures, refrigerants have different saturation pressures. At room temperature, some have high pressure and some have low pressure, but no matter what the pressure is, all kinds of refrigerant cylinders are pressure vessels, and users must be more careful when using them. And various refrigerants have different properties, most of which are explosives. When the corrosion of the steel cylinder is not checked, or when it encounters a sudden exposure to the sun or a fire source, the refrigerant may explode, and some refrigerants are still toxic. Therefore, care must be taken in the storage, handling and use of refrigerants.
No matter what kind of refrigerant is used, the user must close the cylinder valve immediately. When overhauling the system, the refrigerant should be fully cooled by pumping out and pressing into the cylinder, and the weight of the injected cylinder should be strictly controlled. It cannot be filled, generally not exceeding 60% of the volume of the cylinder, so that it has some room for expansion at room temperature.
