Water Cooled Chilled Water System
1. Evaporator: The evaporator in the water cooled chilled water system is the starting part of the refrigeration cycle. Cold water will be transported from the cold water pump to the evaporator, and the refrigerant will also enter the evaporator under the action of the compressor. In the evaporator, the refrigerant exchanges heat with the cold water, causing the temperature of the cold water to drop, absorb heat, and evaporate into gas.
2. Compressor: After the refrigerant is evaporated in the evaporator, it is compressed into high-temperature and high-pressure gas through the action of the compressor. The compressor increases the pressure and temperature of the refrigerant, sending it into the condenser.
3. Condenser: In the condenser, the refrigerant is connected to the cooling tower through pipes, and the temperature of the refrigerant is lowered and turned into a liquid through the action of the condenser. At this time, the chilled water also undergoes heat exchange with the refrigerant through the cooling tower, taking away the heat released by the refrigerant and lowering the temperature of the chilled water.
4. Expansion valve: After the refrigerant turns into liquid in the condenser, the pressure is reduced through the expansion valve. In the process, it is instantly amplified, thereby causing the temperature of the refrigerant to drop.
5. Cold water pump: The cold water pump plays the role of pumping the chilled water out of the cooling tower and transporting it to the evaporator to form a cycle.
