How to Judge the Chilled Water Flow of the Chiller?
1. Temperature detection of the return water and outlet water of the chiller:
After the chiller is turned on for 30 minutes, by controlling the parameters of the system, check the inlet and outlet water thermometers of the system or chilled water system, and read the inlet water temperature and outlet water temperature when the equipment is running, and the difference should be ensured to be about 4~6℃. If the temperature difference between the inlet and outlet is too large, it means that the water flow of the water system through the plate type device is too small, which will cause the operation of the equipment to be affected or damaged.
2. Water flow and water pressure detection of the chiller:
Through the detection of the return water pressure and the outlet pressure value of the chiller, and the water flow rate in the equipment manual, by referring to the corresponding table or diagram of the water flow rate of the equipment in the manual, it can be judged whether the water system is normal. And through this difference to determine which section of the water pipeline resistance value is too large, and make corresponding rectification.
3. Detect the suction temperature of the copper tube of the compressor when the chiller is running:
If the suction temperature of the compressor is detected to be lower than 0°C after 30 minutes of operation of the refrigeration chiller, it means that the water flow in the water-side heat exchanger is not enough, resulting in a drop in the evaporating temperature and evaporating pressure, and causing freon to flow in the direction of the evaporator. The suction pipe of the compressor is still evaporating and absorbing heat, which will cause the suction temperature of the compressor to be lower than 0 °C.
In addition, it is necessary to exclude the drop of evaporation pressure and evaporation temperature caused by the low water temperature set point; non-standard chillers can be considered normal as long as the compressor has a suction superheat of 6-8 °C. Therefore, under normal water flow, the suction temperature of the compressor will generally be greater than 0 °C, and if it is lower than this value, it is necessary to check the water system problems.
