Common heating methods of reactor thermal oil heating system:

Jacketed electric heating: There is a jacket outside the kettle, and the electric heating tube is used to heat the medium in the jacket and transfer the heat to the kettle. Depending on the temperature requirements, commonly used media include water, thermal oil, etc. Disadvantages: slower heating than external circulation heating and high power consumption.

Jacketed external circulation heating: There is a jacket or half-pipe outside the kettle, which is heated according to the temperature required for the reaction and the heat sources available on site. Commonly used heat sources include hot water, steam and thermal oil. Use saturated steam in the range of 100~180℃. If the reaction temperature is higher than 180°C, it can be heated by external circulation of thermal oil, which can generally reach 350°C. If the process requires operation at high temperatures, media can be used instead of water, steam, and thermal oil.
