1. Differences in refrigeration principles
The air-cooled chiller uses air as the cooling medium to dissipate heat. It discharges heat from the outside of the machine through a fan and air flow. At the same time, it condenses the moisture in the air through an evaporator, making the cooling effect better.
Water-cooled chillers use water as the cooling medium to discharge heat from the outside of the machine and achieve refrigeration through the water circulation system.
2. Differences in appearance and structure
Air-cooled chillers are usually small in size, similar in appearance to an air conditioner or computer case, and can be placed under a table or in a corner. It relies on the fan inside the machine for heat dissipation and does not require additional cooling water sources and circulation systems. It has a simple structure and is easy to use.
Water-cooled chillers usually consist of two parts, one is the condenser and the evaporator, and the other is the water circulation system composed of pipes, pumps, etc. The radiator needs to be placed separately from the water cooling system.
3. Differences in usage scenarios
Air-cooled chillers are usually used in situations where the cooling effect is not high, such as some small offices, hotel rooms, home air conditioners, etc.
Water-cooled chillers are suitable for equipment that require a large amount of cooling, such as high-speed computers, servers, etc.
