Chiller Manufacturing Process – Industrial Water Chillers
Industrial chillers are a type of chillers, which can be divided into air-cooled chillers and water-cooled chillers.
Chiller is a kind of water cooling equipment, which can provide constant temperature, constant flow and constant pressure cooling equipment. The principle of the chiller is to inject a certain amount of water into the internal water tank of the machine, cool the water through the chiller refrigeration system, and then have a water pump inside the machine to inject low-temperature frozen water into the equipment that needs to be cooled, and the chilled water will cool the water inside the machine. The heat is taken away, and the high-temperature hot water is returned to the water tank to cool down again, so that the cooling is circulated and exchanged to achieve the effect of cooling the equipment.
The operation of the industrial chiller system works through three interrelated systems: refrigerant circulation system, water circulation system, and electrical automatic control system.

A bomba do sistema de circulação de água é responsável por bombear a água do depósito de água para o equipamento que o utilizador necessita de arrefecer. A água refrigerada retira o calor e a temperatura aumenta, regressando depois ao depósito de água refrigerada.

The power supply part supplies power to compressors, fans, water pumps, etc. through contactors. The automatic control part includes thermostat, pressure protection, delayer, relay, overload protection, etc., which are combined to achieve automatic start and stop according to the water temperature, protection and other functions.
Generally, water cooling is used for heat dissipation above 10P, and air cooling is used for heat dissipation below 10P. The air-cooled industrial chiller is generally a whole machine, and the evaporator, compressor and condenser are made together.
For air-cooled industrial chillers with slightly higher power, it is necessary to consider the heat dissipation of the condenser cooling fan when it is working. For application in air-conditioning workshops, the overall unit needs to be equipped with an exhaust duct to guide the heat blown by the cooling fan to the outside. The air-cooled industrial chiller can also be made into a split type, the condenser is placed directly outside (called the outdoor unit), and the evaporator and compressor are placed indoors (called the indoor unit). However, considering the heat absorption of the refrigerant during the transmission process between the condenser and the evaporator, the distance between the indoor unit and the outdoor unit should be controlled within 6 meters. In addition, the copper pipes that transport the refrigerant need to be insulated. The power supply cable and control cable of the fan can be routed together with the copper pipe, so that the air-conditioning plant only needs to open a hole to pass through the pipe.
