How to Solve the Problem of Oil Leakage in the Refrigeration Cycle of the Chiller?

 

Because the oil cannot be concentrated in the chiller, but enters the evaporator through the expansion valve, the oil sticking to the heat exchange copper tube of the evaporator will make the evaporation effect poor, resulting in a low pressure in the evaporator and overheating the suction of the compressor. Very low, even the refrigerant liquid is directly inhaled, resulting in too low discharge temperature of the compressor, and the oil and the refrigerant still cannot be separated. This vicious cycle causes the oil to be all concentrated in the evaporator, and the compressor is noisy due to insufficient oil supply. even lead to equipment downtime.

There are several ways to solve the above problems of the chiller:

1. When it is found that the oil level in the oil separator is falling, immediately adjust the equipment to manual mode, limit the compressor load, and limit the energy to 50%;

2. Raise the condensation pressure. Within the allowable range, reduce the low air pressure alarm value and the shutdown value to the minimum, and keep the normal operation of the equipment as much as possible.

If the oil level and the pressure in the evaporator are still very low at this time, consider whether all the oil has run into the evaporator. Check the lens of the evaporator to see if there is a lot of white foam rolling, if there is, it means that the oil is in the evaporator, otherwise it is in the condenser.

3. The oil is in the evaporator. At this time, pay close attention to the temperature of the chilled water. The flow rate can be appropriately reduced to let the water temperature of the water drop. When the flow rate is rapidly increased, the water temperature will exceed the saturation temperature of the refrigerant, and the refrigerant will occur. Vigorous boiling, the refrigeration oil will be sucked into the compressor, the discharge temperature will exceed the temperature between the refrigerant and the oil, and the oil will be separated.

4. The oil is in the condenser. At this time, it is not necessary to pay too much attention to the water temperature. As long as the equipment can operate normally, there is basically no major problem. Just open the expansion valve gradually to the maximum, wait for a few minutes until the high and low pressure of the equipment are balanced, and a large amount of white foam can be seen from the sight glass in the evaporator, that is, the oil has entered the evaporator from the condenser.
