The evaporative chiller combines the condensation process of the water-cooled chiller and the cooling tower with the cooling process of water, that is, the cooling water is distributed into a film on the surface of the heat exchanger, and the water film is directly in contact with the forced flowing air, and the cooled material The heat is transferred to the water film, and the water film undergoes unsaturated evaporation, exchanges heat and mass with the air, and then takes away the heat by the air. The system improves the traditional cooling method in two aspects: First, it reduces the process of conveying cooling water from the condenser to the cooling tower, directly realizes the recycling of water, and saves the energy consumption of the pump. The second is to change the way that the single-phase cooling fluid uses the sensible heat temperature rise to cool the material, and the submerged hot water is the main method.

Evaporative chillers are currently widely used coil evaporative chillers. The coiled tube evaporative chiller sprays cooling water on the surface of the tube to form a layer of water film. After the water film and the medium in the tube complete heat exchange, the water directly contacts the air that flows rapidly outside the tube and exchanges heat and mass. The heat exchange process is carried out by the air, and the heat and water vapor are taken out by the air. The flow of the air not only makes the heat exchange process faster, but also due to the rapid flow of the air, the air can maintain an unsaturated state in both high-speed processes, and its heat Mass transfer is more impetus.

The advantages of using evaporative chillers.

1. Energy saving. The evaporator combines the condensation of water vapor and the cooling process of water, eliminating the need for transitional cooling water between the cooling tower and the chiller, and the circulating water volume is only 5% to 10% of the water-cooled type, which effectively saves the cooling water pump. input power. On the other hand, the cooling water temperature of the evaporator is closer to the air wet bulb temperature, and the corresponding condensing temperature can be reduced. Thus, the energy efficiency of the refrigeration host is improved.

2. Save water. The temperature rise of the cooling water is about 5~8℃, that is, 1kg of water takes away 25~35kJ of heat, while the evaporative chiller mainly exchanges the latent heat of cooling water, and 1kg of water absorbs heat and evaporates can take away 2450kJ of heat. In addition, the water consumption of the evaporative chiller is only 1~3% of the exhaust heat, so that the actual water consumption of the evaporative chiller is 5%~15% of the cooling tower system, saving water resources.

3. Good heat transfer performance. Due to the large latent heat of evaporation of water and the large heat absorption per unit of water, water, air and cooling medium flow alternately inside and outside the heat exchanger, which accelerates the heat transfer speed and improves the heat transfer efficiency, thereby achieving the effect of efficient heat exchange. At the same time, due to the use of enhanced heat exchange technology, the efficiency of the system can be greatly improved.

4. Compact structure and small footprint. Evaporative chiller is composed of condensing coil unit, circulating water pump, axial flow fan, water collecting pan and connecting water pipe, etc., and integrates the cooling process. 30% to 60% of the total area, which is particularly important in today’s increasingly tight land resources.

5. Low operating costs. In addition to the above-mentioned energy-saving and water-saving effects, the evaporative chiller can also effectively solve the water treatment problem caused by the large amount of water used in the cooling tower system, and greatly reduce the operating cost. Compared to evaporative chillers, the initial investment in chillers and cooling towers is larger.
