How to Deal with the Cold Water of the Chiller not Circulating?
Generally speaking, small industrial chillers already contain a cold water circulation pump inside, and the (large) chiller does not contain a cold water circulation pump inside. At this time, when assembling the cold water system, an external cold water circulation pump needs to be installed so that the cold water is absorbed. After the heat of the cooled equipment is returned to the chiller for cooling and cooling, even the cold water supply and return pipeline forms a circulation system.
It should be noted that regardless of whether the cold water pump is built-in or external, it is recommended that the position of the cold water pump be lower than the water level of the cold water storage bucket (pool). In this way, the circulating water pump can absorb cold water well, but in some cases, the cold water storage bucket (pool) may be higher than the water level of the water storage (pool) due to the needs or restrictions of the installation environment, then, The chilled water system often fails to absorb water during operation, causing the chiller to fail with insufficient cold water flow. The chiller manufacturer can check the cause in the fault display on the chiller control panel. The solution at this time is:
1. Use a rubber hose to pour water from the cold water storage bucket (pool) back to the small water supply pipe reserved on the large pipe on the cold water circulation pump (open its small valve), and use a wrench to unscrew the small exhaust plug of the cold water circulation pump ( If there is water coming out, then tighten it) until water returns to the large pipe of the cold water storage bucket (pool), and pull out the hose to see if there are any air bubbles. If there are, please continue to pour water until there are no air bubbles. close the small valve;
2. At this time, turn on the chiller for 1~3 minutes. If the large pipe has a large amount of water back into the pool, there will be no problem;
3. If the water return is not enough or there is no water return, repeat the above irrigation action.
