The Reasons and Solutions for the Sudden Shutdown of the Chiller

As a kind of industrial refrigeration equipment, the common failure of the chiller is relatively common. The most serious situation is the sudden shutdown of the chiller. If this kind of situation cannot be effectively solved, it is likely to lead to a more serious accident. Now LNEYA refrigeration manufacturer will take you to understand how to deal with the sudden shutdown of the chiller.

1. Sudden power failure causes the chiller to stop

If the equipment is suddenly powered off during operation, the user should first disconnect the main power switch, immediately close the suction valve and discharge valve of the compressor, and then close the liquid supply gate valve to stop supplying liquid to the air conditioner evaporator to prevent the chiller from running next time. , the humidity of the air conditioner evaporator shrinks due to excess liquid.

2. The sudden water cut causes the chiller to stop.

If the refrigeration circulating water is suddenly cut off, the user should immediately cut off the power supply and stop the operation of the refrigeration compressor to prevent the working pressure of the equipment from being too high. After the air compressor is stopped, the suction and exhaust valves and related liquid supply valves should be closed immediately. After the cause is found out and the fault is eliminated, the chiller should be restarted after the power supply is repaired.

3. Compressor failure leads to equipment shutdown

During the operation of the chiller, when the equipment is shut down due to the damage of a component of the compressor, if the conditions permit, it can be operated according to all normal shutdowns. In case of emergency, the switch power supply of the motor should be disconnected, and then the suction, exhaust valve and liquid supply gate valve should be turned off. If the refrigeration equipment is short of ammonia or the refrigeration compressor has a common fault, the switching power supply of the production workshop should be disconnected, and protective clothing and masks should be worn for maintenance. At this point, the user should turn on all exhaust fans. If necessary, you can use tap water to drain the ammonia leaking location to facilitate the maintenance of the chiller.

4. Equipment downtime caused by fire

When a fire occurs in an adjacent building, the stability of the refrigeration unit is seriously threatened. Turn off the power supply, quickly open the exhaust valves such as the liquid storage tank, refrigerator, ammonia oil filter, air conditioner evaporator, etc., and quickly open the emergency ammonia unloader and water inlet valve, so that the ammonia solution of the system software is discharged centrally at the emergency ammonia unloading port. Dilute with plenty of water to prevent fire accidents from spreading and causing accidents.
