Screw Chillers
Screw chillers are chillers that use screw compressors. They have a large cooling power and are mainly used in large industrial refrigeration applications such as chemical plants, ink printing plants, automobile manufacturing plants, or central air conditioning systems. The working principle of screw chillers is based on the four processes of the refrigeration cycle: the compressor adiabatically compresses the gas refrigerant, the condenser isobaric cooling and condensation, the throttle valve expands to low pressure, and the liquid refrigerant in the evaporator absorbs heat and turns back into gas, and then the gaseous refrigerant re-enters the compressor through the pipeline to form a new cycle.
Screw chillers can be divided into water-cooled screw chillers and air-cooled screw chillers according to different heat dissipation methods. Water-cooled screw chillers are mainly composed of compressors, evaporators, condensers, refrigeration accessories, electronic control systems, etc., and require additional auxiliary equipment such as cooling towers, circulating water pumps, and double-layer stainless steel insulated water tanks to provide circulating cooling water. Air-cooled screw chillers use fans to dissipate heat and finned condensers to exchange heat with the air, so they do not require a cooling tower, but do require a circulating water pump and a double-layer stainless steel insulated water tank.
