How chiller cooling water system works?
The working principle of the chiller is to use the physical properties of the refrigerant to cool air or water. Common chillers mainly include compression chillers and absorption chillers.
1. Compression chiller
The working principle of the compression chiller is to achieve the effect of cooling water by absorbing and releasing heat through the refrigerant in the evaporation and condensation cycles. Its main components include compressor, evaporator, condenser, expansion valve, etc.
The specific workflow is as follows:
First, the compressor sucks in low-pressure refrigerant, then compresses it into high-pressure and high-temperature gas through compression, and then transfers it to the condenser;
Secondly, the condenser will release heat from the high-pressure and high-temperature refrigerant, turning it into high-pressure and low-temperature liquid, and then transmit it to the expansion valve;
Then, the expansion valve expands the refrigerant of high-pressure cryogenic liquid into low-pressure cryogenic liquid, and then transfers it to the evaporator;
Finally, the evaporator absorbs external heat and turns the low-pressure, low-temperature refrigerant into low-pressure, low-temperature steam, which is then circulated back to the compressor to maintain this cycle.
2. Absorption chiller
Absorption chillers are different from compression chillers in that they mainly use absorption media (usually water and ammonia, water and lithium bromide, etc.) to absorb cooling water, and use energy in the process of absorption and heat release to achieve cooling.
Its main working principle is as follows:
First, in the generator, the absorption media and cooling media undergo a series of reactions to form a high-temperature and high-concentration absorption liquid;
Secondly, in the cooler, the cooling medium passes through the absorbing liquid and after absorbing the heat, the cooling medium is cooled;
Then, in the absorber, the absorption liquid and the cooling medium go through a series of reactions, making the absorption liquid become thinner and easier to circulate back to the generator to maintain circulation.
