Bearing Freezing Experiment – Industrial Refrigerator

Step 1: Proofread the micrometer and reset to zero.

Step 2: Measure the outside diameter of the workplece.

Step 3: Freeze the workplece in the cryogenic cabinet.

Step 4: The freezinf temperarture was set at -100 degrees and the experiment started at 10:45. it reachs the setting temperature at 11:36, takes 51 minutes and holds for 2 hours.

Step 5: Remove morkpleces (protect against frostbite).

Step 6: Measure the outside diameter of the workplece after thermal contraction. It was 25.119 mm befire freezing and 24.913 mm after freezing, contraction for 206 um.
